Wynter Evans is on the search for her brother. On her journey Wynter ends up in the small town of Sanctuary and almost right away she meets the towns young and very handsome mayor, Reuben King. Secrets are being revealed, secrets that can change everything and tear apart a town. Wynter won't give up finding her brother--even at the expense of her own life.

The only other book by Nancy Mehl that I have read is Unstoppable, and that was an incredible and fast-paced read. Gathering Shadows was no different. Suspense, romance, and a fast-paced, heart-pounding plot. Highly recommended for all fans of Romantic Suspense.
